MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) medical imaging technique uses strong magnetic fields, magnetic field gradients, and radio waves to generate images of organs within a patient’s body. At Townsen Memorial Hospital, we use MRIs to diagnose internal problems, as well as to follow-up from medical procedures without exposing the patient to the radiation of an X-ray.
Depending on each patient and his or her symptoms, MRIs can be a better alternative than other types of imaging, such as CT Scans and X-Rays, as they do not expose patients to radiation.
